Status updates and timeline - Rifeforum.com – Forum Offline Notice

Current status on July 20, 2026: Forum online, but not all features are available. We are working to restore the forum fully.

What this means:
  • You can now login and use the forum as before. Some features remain offline while we continue to restore it.
  • No data has been lost, we are still restoring features to as it was before it went offline.
  • We will post updates on this page as progress continues.

Next steps:
  • Complete data integrity checks.
  • We have hired an expert to fix the forum problems and he hopes to restore the forum within days.
  • Once the forum has been fully restored, an email will be sent to every member, informing them that the forum is back online.
  • Please donate to help us cover the forum costs. It makes a big difference as we do not only have extra costs to restore the forum,
  • We hope to have the forum restore completed in August 2026, we will keep you updated, here.

We completed a full backup verification and began migrating the forum to a newer webserver to improve stability. No user action is required.

An expert for repairing forums is now working on restoring the Rife Forum. He is making good progress, yet it will still take several days to get everything working as it should.

  • 12 Feb 2026, 18:40 UTC — Increased error rates observed; temporary rate limits applied.
  • 12 Feb 2026, 10:05 UTC — Monitoring alerted on degraded performance; investigation started.
Technical details (non-sensitive)
We are upgrading database components and tightening server configurations to address intermittent read/write errors. The work includes:
  • Database engine migration with schema checks and index rebuilds.
  • Improved backup routines and restore testing.
  • Web server configuration cleanup and TLS renewal.
  • Expanded monitoring for query latency and error anomalies.
We will not publish credentials, IPs, or internal security details. Once validation passes, we will reopen the forum and monitor closely.
